I’d love to hear if anyone has any ideas. Since the stem faceplate is flush against the bag, I also wonder if there are any options to use those bolt points to secure the bag. I’d be open to hardware, but I’m wondering if there’s any way to use something like cordage to do this. Does anyone have any idea how I could add some extra security? The bag also has straps to secure it to the rack but some stability higher up would be best to prevent wobble. The fit is imperfect because the bag is flush against the bars, but I’d still like to make it work as I’m gearing up for some of my longest rides (going after my first 200km) and want to the cargo. It actually sits in front on the tombstone when installed, so I can’t get the bag seated on the rack without moving the decaleur off to the side, but the it’s not lined up to receive the hardware mounted on the bag (it’s not mounted in the pictures). There are a few small differences in the fit due to things like stem angle, the distance between the tombstone and head tube, etc., and now the VO decaleur won’t work. My current bike is a Surly Straggler and is equipped with a Rawland rando rack. It was mounted on a Velo Orange rando rack (mounted with p-clamps on the fork) and the Velo Orange decaleur. Combining function and elegant design, the Dock-It streamlines the bicycle-bag interface with a simple and reliable docking mechanism, facilitating dependable, durable, and easy attachment of the bag to the bike. I had this Swift Industries rando bag mounted on my last bike (Surly Pacer) and it worked great. The decaleur has long been the forgotten add-on component one that is rarely integrated into the overall bicycle.
